David Thomas Robertson (1879 - 1952) was born in Darlington and worked mostly in the North East of England. He exhibited widely including at the Royal Scottish Academy the Berwick Cub, the Laing and other Public and Private galleries. The present painting "Haytime" is an oil painting on canvas measuring 18"x 24". It is signed lower left and is in a hand made gilt frame giving an overall size of 23"x 30".
