Marion Rodger Hamilton Harvey (1886-1971) was born in Ayr. She was an accomplished Scottish artist based in Glasgow and a regular exhibitor at the RSA, GI and the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. Harvey specialised in the portraiture of dogs and horses, often commissioned, and was known to work in oils, pastel, watercolour and etching.
"Ready" is a charming original signed artist's proof etching measuring 7"x 9". It is signed in pencil by the artist lower left and is mounted giving an overall size of 11"x 14". It is unframed. It is one of an edition of 75.
