Tom Dudley (1857-1935) was born in York and first trained as an architect. He took lessons from William James Boddy and is known for his townscapes mainly painted in watercolours. His work was shown in public and private galleries throughout the U.K.
"The Multangular Tower, York" is a fine example of his work. A large watercolour measuring 21"x 14", it is signed lower left and is framed in the original gilt frame giving an overall size of 32"x 24".
